That is, keep protecting their economically inefficient and inferior analog media assets so they in turn can prevent universal state of the art broadband and multi-channel iDTV and therefore they are preventing innovation and new industry and new wealth creation and new jobs. And new exports! The media mafia does not create jobs but destroys jobs.But how come they are continually over at least 10 years of digital technologies, still being so successfully protected by Howard for the 10 years now of their dictatorial and corrupt government? They gave the media mafia free public digital spectrum worth billions of dollars. Analog TV is digitals worst enemy so why would anyone concerned about the Australian people and their best interests give the old media mafia free digital spectrum with absolutely no use it or lose it conditions attached? Because they wanted to lock it up so no one else could use it and this they have done and Coonan once again lets them off the hook. AT YOUR EXPENSE AGAIN! They have stifled many other digital opportunities but another main one is a universal fibre network. The Howard government has for 10 years complied with all the demands of this media mafia and so therefore their assets have in fact increased in value. Why are they always getting government protection? Howard and his government and their media mafia mates have to be investigated because they have been manipulating laws and decisions that in turn manipulate the share prices of listed media companies and therefore other media investments owned by the media mafia. Why has Telstra been consistently blocked from building a fibre network? Why has none of the digital spectrum the analog TV broadcasters are still sitting on for free not even getting a mention? Why hasn’t all or even some of this spectrum been put up for auction to kick start interactive digital TV? Because the political status quo must protect the media status quo but all at your expense! So why won’t ASIC investigate Howard and co? The ACCC continues to ignore the stifling of competition by allowing the old analog media mafia to continue to prevent more economically efficient digital TV use of the old analog spectrum, which is a public asset. Why do the nameless faceless ACMA bureaucrats control your media and therefore protect the economically inefficient analog media mafia? (Mainly because Aussies are too lazy to do anything about being manipulated and brainwashed.
